About Verzio
Verzio is a native macOS update manager built in the Netherlands. It was born out of frustration with the fragmented state of macOS app updates — Homebrew in Terminal, App Store in one window, Sparkle pop-ups interrupting your flow.
The Story
Verzio started as a side project in 2025. As a developer running dozens of Homebrew packages, App Store apps, and direct-download tools, checking multiple places for updates was tedious. When MacUpdater shut down in January 2026, it confirmed what we already knew: the macOS ecosystem needed a modern, privacy-first update manager that unified every source.
Verzio is built with SwiftUI and runs natively on Apple Silicon and Intel. It does not upload your installed-app inventory. Update checks, licensing, and optional AI features use network services.
What We Believe In
- Privacy First — No app usage analytics. Verzio does not upload your installed-app list. Update checks, licensing, and optional AI features use network services.
- AI That Respects You — AI features process public release information, such as release notes and the app name, without uploading your installed-app inventory.
- Built for Everyone — 3 languages, generous free tier. Updating shouldn't require a subscription.
- Crafted with Care — Native SwiftUI app, not an Electron wrapper. Feels right at home on macOS.
- Transparent Development — Public roadmap, real support, no dark patterns.
- Real Support — Email support@verzio.pro and get a human response within 24 hours.
